Meet the GenNext Winter Festival 2015 young designers @Lakmefashionwk

Mumbai supports young design talent of GenNext at Lakme Fashion Week

GENNEXT Winter/Festival 2015 @Lakmefashionweek: (L-R) Jebin Johny, Kriti Tula, Charchit Bafna, Siddhartha Banal, Ajay Kumar and Ishita Mangal

1. Siddhartha Banal: Siddhartha Bansal, label epitomizes its design philosophy touring around ‘Golden bird’ nation to present day India, in the wanderlust for rich craft and culture. Vision is to give customers a lifetime experience through clothes with feminine cuts fused with fresh color combination and intricate detailed motifs.

2) Shivangi Sahni: Rooted in sharp tailoring, clean silhouettes and intricate detailing, the Shivangi Sahni (A graduate of NIFT Delhi) label represents a deeply free spirited woman who´s artistic expression extends beyond her attitude and directly on to the clothes she wears.

3) Ishita Mangal: QUO by Ishita Mangal is a women’s wear prêt line that offers chic fashion for a woman who desires to stand out by adding edgy and easy looks in her wardrobe. Geometric cuts combined with aesthetic appeal and easy wear-ability truly makes the QUO clothes unique, yet sellable in today’s market.

4) Kriti Tula: The label Doodlage by Kriti Tula, is a blend of sustainable and exclusive high street fashion. We aim to merge innovative pattern making with intensive surface techniques to make fashion not just chic, also eco-friendly. We primarily source from exporters, retailers and printing units that have a large amount of their own production waste. We like the fact that each piece of ours seems to be telling a story, like different places seen and travelled to. We make sure every product has its own identity-in terms of cut, fabric, color redefining the entire concept of individuality- Just Like you!

5) Charchit Bafna - Charchit Bafna the brand has worked around the concept of androgyny and the conflict between predetermined notions of masculine and feminine style.
Conflict creates disharmony but also adds a plethora of art and texture to every work.
The brand strives to strike a balance between two seemingly polarized points, the done and the undone, the disheveled and the manicured, and the perfect and the flawed.
It is only while walking this tightrope act that we discover a resolution that is unparalleled.

6) Ajay Kumar: Ajay Kumar label is an extension of his personal style statement that amalgamates classic menswear tailoring with modern cuts, traditional motifs with modern print patterns giving it a futuristic outlook. The line is effortlessly stylish and red carpet worthy.
The label has been designed for the genre of social celebrities, shining personalities and achievers. It is positioned as a premium menswear label targeting the age group where ‘Age is a statement to make.’

7) Jebin Johny: Jebsispar, the clothing brand by Jebin Johny was born in Northampton, UK. Well balanced colors and artistic prints are the brand’s USP. Anyone who wants to have a different individual identity can go for Jebsispar.

Girl with the Blue Scarf says: What's truly rocking about Mumbai's LFW is that it supports young talent endlessly. In fact, it actually opens the fashion week with its GenNext show. A packed house then witnesses the best of talent on the ramp. And a new breed of designers is born. Wow!

I want a chance too to make it on the LFW platform. Do I need a recommendation?
