Grand opening show of the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013 (Aug 22, 2013)   There's always a sense of anticipation about what Mumbai-based designer Manish Malhotra will bring on the fashion ramp. And so, he does it yet again - creates trends that are society-conscious and accepted by all age groups. He presented the grand opening show to kick-start Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013 at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Mumbai. It was a great start, must say (of course, there were Bollywood faces in the front Row).   To the fore are Ghagra pants (a fusion look of sharara + classic pants) and boatnecks with 3/4 sleeved blouses. Apt for the festive season, a slightly dress-down look can fit your silhouette to the workplace, too.   Miss India Manasvi Mamgai flaunts an emerald green ghagra pants with rick Kashmiri embroidery and concealed neck blouse for the new-age festive feel. Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone dance on Kashmir Tu, main Kanyakumari in film Chennai Express What a delightful film Chennai Express is, one which I can watch with my parents and kids around. Not one moment to feel queasy about. No exposing, no cheap jerks and no filthy language. In fact, fun and light-heartedness of the script kept everyone in raptures while watching the film. INDIA INCREDIBLE: I loved the way India is the highlight in the film. Beautiful cinematography and song sequences. I am yet to see such gloriously calm, picturesque hamlets enroute Rameshwaram but the tea gardens in Tamil Nady - Ooty, do indeed carry that tranquil feel. India stands out as the HERO in the film Chennai Express. Chennai Express is a 2013 Indian romcom film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Gauri Khan under her production banner Red Chillies Entertainment. The film features Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. Director : Rohit Shetty Cinematography

SHOES BY CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN: Interestingly, French shoe designer Christian Louboutin worked closely with Manish Malhotra for his Couture show, using existing shoe designs, which were specially fabricated to complement the collection.
